From the mop-top hair and costumes to the vintage collection of guitars and amplifiers, no detail has been overlooked to bring the look, the sound and the songs of The Beatles to the live stage.

Liverpool has performed at hundreds of civic events, public celebrations, fairs, festivals and parties, weddings, corporate events, grand openings, Beatles conventions and charity galas at some of the finest venues in the nation, from elegant ballrooms, casinos and theaters to downtown squares and city parks, from gymnasiums to major sports stadiums. If your event calls for entertainment, this is the band to meet your needs.

Liverpool has continued to grow a large and loyal following over its storied - and some would say legendary - Career in the entertainment business.

Clients and fans are always complimenting the lads on their true professionalism and dedication to the craft.

It's rather remarkable that Liverpool: A Tribute to The Beatles was not formed by casting calls, want ads or auditions. The band's foundation is firmly rooted in friendships among the members who came together based on a true passion for great music.

Prior to forming Liverpool, three of its members were gigging heavily in one of Kansas City's most popular club bands, The Crayons, playing 60s revivalist music that focused largely on the British Invasion. For a Halloween gig at Blayney's in Kansas City in 1988, The Crayons went all out -- dressing up and channeling The Beatles during a Particularly inspired set. The reaction, respect, and adoration from the crowd put the lads on a fateful path -- a path that saw them fold The Crayons and focus on making Liverpool: A Tribute to The Beatles a living, breathing entity of its own. The intentions of three original members, Gary Butler, Larry Kips and Steve Davis, were quite deliberate in selecting and recruiting the fourth member of Liverpool, a good friend and the best musician they'd ever seen, Jimmy Bond (who was later inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame with his former band Plain Jane. Unfortunately, the world lost Jimmy a few years ago, but his legend lives on as one of the greatest singers and performers of his generation).

The four members of Liverpool spent countless hours fine-tuning and rehearsing -- which lasted the better part of a year. They took the time and effort to acquire the correct guitars, drums, and basses, to have their authentic costumes made and to design their dynamic stage show that featured painted backdrops and a large video screen.

Liverpool added a live, off-stage keyboard player, Jeff Frost, who also assumed the role of stage manager and client contact. (In later years, Mark Agnew would provide off-stage keyboards).

Once the band began marketing itself, the floodgates opened. Liverpool: A Tribute to The Beatles has played thousands of shows from California to Florida and beyond, and many of their clients are repeat customers. Liverpool takes the extra time and Care to work with clients to make their events not just great, but memorable for everyone.

To this day, three original members (Gary Butler, Larry Kips, and Steve Davis) plus another recruit, Dave Tanner, carry on the traditions of performing what the whole world knows and loves as the greatest music catalog of any band in history - The Beatles.
